Essential Duties: Assist the equipment manager and perform assigned tasks.
Yard Assistant. The applicant chosen will be responsible for the general upkeep of the equipment yard.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspection of returned equipment.
- Follow all lock-out tag procedures.
- Take pictures of all incoming/outgoing machines and damage report
- Order and track parts as needed
- Always keep the yard clean and organized and the wash rack area clean
- Help clean and organize the shop area
- Maintain equipment and tools in the yard and shop areas
- Maintain a clean workstation
- Keep the loading area clean and clear.
- Assist other staff as needed.
- Run errands to pick up supplies or parts.
- The equipment manager will assign other responsibilities.
General Requirements:
- This position requires some physical activity, including moderate lifting, step climbing, and equipment operation.
- Some heavy lifting
- Safety glasses and back support must always be worn as needed
- Have good communication skills and the ability to operate a forklift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Louisiana driver's license with a clean record.
- Must pass a drug screen
Education
- Vocation or technical degree, or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of heavy and light equipment and truck repair in general.
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
- We need a reliable person who can come to work every day
- Strong work ethic and honesty.
- We don’t work nights.
- We work few weekends.
