Job Description: Field Service Advisor / Dispatcher - Tyler, Texas

Summary: Provide daily work direction to Field Service technicians in the performance of their
job.
Required Skills:
 High School diploma or GED preferred; 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience
 Proficient computer skills with the ability to work in Microsoft word and excel.
 Ability to lead and direct technician team in a field service setting
 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals.
 Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
 Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization
 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists.
 Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Monitor the performance of field technicians to obtain maximum efficiency on all work
performed by the field service team.
 Organize, prioritize, schedule, and assign the service work for the field service team.
 Maintain technician efficiency to achieve acceptable productivity levels and profit
margins.
 Communicate with customers about needs, costs, and timelines for performing the
necessary work. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction on all fieldwork conducted.
 Review all field work orders for accuracy before releasing them to be invoiced.
 Respond to customers in person or by telephone whenever required.
 It may require responding after regular working hours.
 Monitor work in process daily to ensure the timely completion of all work orders
 Resolve questions from team members as needed.
 Provide training to new members where appropriate.
 Communicate courteously and effectively with customers and co-workers.
 Maintain a good working relationship with all other departments.
 Assure required documentation is prepared accurately and timely, including work orders,
parts lists, and time cards.
 Read and interpret the instruction manuals and pertinent literature.
 Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety laws, policies, and rules.
 The Department Manager or General Manager may assign other duties.
 Overtime work may be required in this position.
 Dispatch of field service team members.
