Job Purpose

Are you a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Field Mechanic ready to take on a rewarding solo role? Join us at Mount Bracey, where you will independently manage repairs and maintenance in a dynamic environment. This Monday to Friday position offers the convenience of camp living with meals provided, allowing you to focus on your expertise and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery.
  • Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
  • Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
  • Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
  • Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to operate and test equipment such as telehandlers, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, light towers, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment.
  • Diagnoses problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
  • Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment

  • Must have Journeyman Mechanic (Off Road) Certificate or Red Seal in HET.
  • Able to work Monday to Friday alone on site.
  • Camp is provided.
  • At least 3-years' hands on experience working on Aerial & Earth Moving Equipment.
  • Ability to work constructively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude.
  • Valid Class 5 license.
  • A clean and recent driver's abstract will be required.

Pay Range: 45-50/hr
